Priorities clear: Zelenskyy holds meeting on EU and NATO

"Our communication, our internal changes, the steps in relations that we expect. This also includes non-public work with partners," Zelenskyy said.

He explained that during the meeting, the tasks for this year were clearly formulated. The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, the head of the government and the relevant deputy prime minister, the minister of foreign affairs, the minister of defense and his first deputy, international experts from the Presidential Office, and the head of the Office.

"Our priorities are clear: to fully implement the decision to open negotiations, to prepare our negotiation framework with the European Union, and to develop a system of relations and communication with the Alliance members so that every state and every leader feels one hundred percent that NATO will become much stronger together with Ukraine," the head of state emphasized.

As a reminder, on December 14, the leaders of the European Union approved the opening of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the bloc during the summit.

This happened amid fears that Hungary would block the decision by vetoing it. The talks between EU leaders lasted more than three hours, and the start of the summit was delayed because of Budapest's position. However, at the time of the vote, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban left the room, so the decision was made unanimously.
